Do you know how hard it is to find cute gold heels at the end of September?  In case you don’t, let me just tell you that it’s slim pickings.  The options I found were either $100+ or looked like, what Kyle so affectionally called them, “hooker heels.”

But, alas, I needed a pair of gold heels for my friend’s wedding in two weeks.  Do you know how expensive wedding season is?  Um yea, I was determined to find a good deal.

Enter two hours of scouring the internet later, and I came up with one option.  Ordered them.  Felt relieved.  Done.  Got the package two days later.  The result?  ”Hooker heels.”

Disheartened, I started to spend the next evening looking online again and was getting increasingly frustrated.

Do you know what happened next?  Kyle started to look for shoes online, showing me options, expressing his determination to find me the perfect pair, discussing his likes/dislikes of various styles.  We spent the next two hours online shoe shopping together.  He even offered to go shopping with me this weekend (to which he commented, “I can’t believe I just volunteered to go SHOE shopping with you!”)  But still.  Can we just have a moment for how adorable that is?

In the end, we had to call in the big guns (aka, my mom.  That woman just has a knack for finding the perfect shoe).  She bought me the most adorable pair and all is right with the world.

I know it’s a random, silly story.  But, that moment just made me feel so loved.  Just goes to show… my family, both old and new… how lucky am I?
