Our wedding location!  We knew that we wanted to have our wedding in Chicago.  What better place to celebrate our love than in the city that we love, and in the city where we fell in love, right?

We were researching different venues and thought that we owed it to our great city of Chicago to have our wedding in a building rich with Chicago history, and at a location that has a meaning and purpose to Chicago.  Newberry Library fit the bill!

A little history:

The library has been open to Chicago public since 1885.  As you can read, it was the only building in the path of the Chicago Fire that wasn’t burned.  Also, it was the first public building in Chicago to have electricity.
